Photographs | Sorority parties continue as rush draws to a close: Alpha Chi Omega gives independent women a look at a "Heaven Party" in Florida Southern sorority houses. The "stars" didn't hold up, as nature prevailed and the rains brought screams and laughter from the open-air patio. (p.1) -- MME. ROSELLE (p.1) -- Miss Alpha Omicron Pi (Judy Freed) is crowned Miss Rose Pageant of '56 in a party given for the independent women. The theme of the party depicted the annual crowning of "Miss America." (p.1). TRESCA (p.2). Early in the week Kenneth Hair turned out this sketch in approximately two hours. Portraying people of our day in a land of prehistoric monsters, it is an illustration for a magazine science fiction story. (p.8). |
